VPNGot / GETTING STARTED

VPN Setup Guide

Create an account, get your subscription, and import it into a client. Then verify the connection by checking access to your destination.

Labels and menus can vary between operating systems and clients. This guide follows the sequence “account → plan → subscription → import → verification.” If you see options such as “configuration,” “subscription management,” or “import from URL,” check that they let you add a subscription. Button locations may differ in the current dashboard or client.

Create an account and save your login details

Use the “Free for the First Month” button on this page to open the account creation page in the user dashboard. Enter a username and password. VPNGot doesn’t require an email address; create your account with a username and password. Before submitting, check that your entries meet the page requirements. Make sure your password hasn’t picked up an extra space and that your input method hasn’t changed the characters you intended to enter.

Once your account is ready, save your login details in a password manager and remember that the site is vpngot.com. Use the same account to view plans, get your subscription, download clients, and submit support tickets. Never enter your dashboard password into an unfamiliar subscription tool or post your login details in a public forum. Clients generally need the subscription link, not your dashboard password.

If the page says your username is already taken, choose another and follow the prompts. If you already have an account, use the existing login details instead of creating more accounts. After signing in, make sure the account overview loads before choosing a plan. This makes it easier to find your plan status and subscription link under the same account after payment.

Choose a plan and review your order

Before opening the plans section in the dashboard, compare usage on the plan pricing page. Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Choose based on how you actually browse, use AI tools, and watch videos rather than relying on the number of routes alone. Over the same amount of time, video and file transfers typically use more data than text pages.

Monthly subscription data resets each month on the date your plan started. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days; check the dashboard for the exact amount. If your usage is occasional, compare the data packages: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They don’t expire and remain available until used. The main differences are how you’re billed and how you use the data, so decide which option suits you before choosing.

Choose a plan in the dashboard, then check the order name, amount, and data allowance before paying as instructed. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported; use the payment option shown on the checkout page. Once payment is complete, return to the dashboard and confirm the plan is active before getting your subscription. If the payment status hasn’t updated, check the original order instead of creating another one.

VPNGot allows unlimited simultaneous devices and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. Keep an eye on data usage across your devices: unlimited devices doesn’t mean unlimited data. If you have questions about an order or payment status, submit a request through dashboard support. Include the relevant order details; don’t share your full subscription link.

Choose This Plan

Get your subscription from the dashboard

Once your plan is active, open the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription section. Check your plan status and data allowance, then copy the subscription link or use the client import option. The subscription link isn’t the website URL or the login page URL. It lets your client retrieve the route configuration available to your account.

If the dashboard offers an import option for your client, first make sure the client is installed on your device, then try the option. Your browser may ask permission to open the app; check that the app name is correct before continuing. If the app doesn’t open, copy the link instead and look for “Add subscription,” “Import from URL,” or a similar option in the client. There’s no need to keep clicking the same redirect button.

Treat your subscription link like a password. Don’t include it in public screenshots, shared notes, or third-party online checking tools. If you need to report a problem, hide the link and describe the message shown after import. This example is only for illustrating the format: https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN. It isn’t a working subscription and can’t connect. Your actual subscription is available only from the dashboard after you sign in.

After copying the link, leave the dashboard open for now and go to the downloads section to install a client. If the client can’t read the subscription, check that you copied the entire link, there are no extra spaces, and your plan is active. Don’t remove or change any parameters in the link. If the route list doesn’t change after import, use the client’s subscription update option, wait for it to finish, then check the results.

Import a client on your device

Open the downloads section in the dashboard and choose the entry for your platform. Use the VPNGot client provided in the dashboard. Sign in on Windows, macOS, Android, or Linux to access the download link; an active plan is also required for the iOS download link. Downloading a client and connecting to a route are separate steps—you’ll still need to import an active subscription after installation. This page doesn’t provide direct installer links or expose account subscriptions.

Windows: Add a remote subscription

Choose the Windows client in the dashboard, download and install it as instructed, then open it. Go to the configuration or subscription management section and look for an option such as “Add remote subscription” or “Import from URL.” Paste in the subscription link you copied, save it, and refresh the list. When the routes appear, select the newly imported configuration to make it active; don’t leave it merely sitting in the list.

The first time you run the client, Windows may ask you to allow network components or connection permissions. Check that the source matches the download link in the dashboard, then follow the system prompts. Return to the client and choose a route. If there’s a system proxy switch, enable it according to the client’s instructions. Don’t turn on other proxy tools at the same time unless you know what they do; otherwise, your browser may use settings from a different app.

macOS: Check your configuration and system permissions

Choose the macOS client in the downloads section and install it. Open the app and find subscriptions or configuration management in the main window or menu bar. Import the subscription for your account using the link. If the dashboard offers an option to open the app for import, you can use it once the app is installed. After importing, check that the route names appear and set the subscription as the active configuration.

The first time you connect, macOS may ask you to approve a network configuration or related permissions. Follow the system prompt, then return to the client and check the connection switch. If macOS blocks installation or launch, verify the download source and dashboard instructions rather than disabling security settings at random. Once configured, open the destination service in a browser to test access; don’t rely only on whether the menu bar icon changes color.

Android: Allow the VPN connection after importing

Get the Android client from the dashboard. Check the source in the system installation prompt, then complete the installation. In the app, open subscriptions or configurations, use the add-by-link option to paste your subscription, and refresh the route list. Some clients first ask you to enter a name for the configuration. Use a short name that identifies the service so you can tell subscriptions from different sources apart later.

Choose a route and start the connection. When Android displays a VPN connection permission prompt, confirm that it’s for the app you’re using, then allow it. If the service keeps stopping when you switch away from the app, check the app’s background restrictions in your device’s battery settings and adjust them as needed. Don’t change every battery-saving option at once. First make sure the connection stays active, then test access.

iOS: Open the download link and add your subscription

First, make sure your plan is active in the dashboard. Then open the iOS client entry in the downloads section and follow the instructions to the App Store. If the store says the app isn’t available in your region, check your store region and the dashboard instructions. Don’t look for configuration profiles on unfamiliar websites. iOS has different requirements for accessing the download link; signing in alone doesn’t guarantee it will be available.

After installation, return to the dashboard and use the import option for your client if available. Otherwise, find the option to add a subscription or import from a link in the client, paste your subscription, and refresh. The first time you connect, iOS may ask to add a VPN configuration. Confirm the system prompt before connecting. Importing a subscription and approving the system VPN configuration are separate steps: the subscription provides routes, while system permission lets the app connect. Complete both before testing.

On Linux, choose the matching entry in the dashboard downloads section and import your subscription using the configuration instructions for the client provided. Supported platforms include Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Interfaces may vary by version, so this guide doesn’t assume a specific button location. For more on streaming regions and exit IPs, see our complete guide to streaming access.

Connect to a route and check that it works

Once the subscription has finished updating, make sure the current configuration is enabled, then choose a route that suits what you want to access. For general browsing, try a nearby region first. If a service requires a specific region, choose one it supports rather than simply picking the first route in the client. Check the server page for coverage, then select a route in the client.

Start the connection and wait for the client to show its connection status, then open the website or app you want to use. Check that the page loads, the sign-in flow works, and the actual content opens. For video, make sure playback starts rather than just checking the platform’s home page. For AI tools, open the service itself to confirm access. A connected status only means the local connection has started; it doesn’t confirm access to your destination.

If the client says it’s connected but you still can’t access the destination, keep the current route and check that the right subscription is active, system permissions are in place, and your browser isn’t still using another proxy setting. Once you’ve checked these basics, try a different route for the required region. Change one thing at a time to help identify whether the issue is the route, client settings, or the destination platform’s regional policy.

If basic access works but a platform says your region isn’t supported, that doesn’t necessarily mean the import failed. Account region, platform policies, and how your exit IP is identified can all affect the result. For details, see our complete guide to streaming access. For AI tool access, see our guide to network access for AI tools. A network connection doesn’t replace any account, subscription, or eligibility requirements imposed by the destination platform.

If you still need help, use dashboard support to share your operating system, the error shown in the client, the region you selected, and where the issue occurred. Hide your username, subscription link, and other private details in screenshots. “Import failed” or “The destination page shows an error after connecting” is more useful than “It doesn’t work.” Never share your account password.

You’re all set when your plan is active in the dashboard, routes appear in the client, system connection permissions are approved, and your destination page loads. To set up another device, use the same account and repeat the client import and verification steps. Unlimited devices can be connected at the same time.
